Author Guidelines

ICABER Author Policies

Please review these mandatory policies governing paper presentation, AI usage, and publication ethics for ICABER.

Attendance

Author Presentation Policy

To ensure academic integrity and meaningful engagement, ICABER requires in-person participation for all accepted papers.

Mandatory In-Person Presentation

At least one author must attend ICABER in person to present the accepted paper. The presenting author must register at the in-person registration rate.

No Remote Presentations

All paper presentations must be delivered on-site. Remote or virtual presentation options are not available under any circumstances.

“I commit to ensuring that one of the authors will present the paper in person at ICABER. If unforeseen circumstances prevent this, I will notify ICABER immediately. I understand that failure to notify ICABER may result in the exclusion of the paper from the conference proceedings.”

AI Usage

Policy on the Use of AI Systems

ICABER maintains strict standards regarding the responsible use of AI tools in scholarly publishing.

Prohibited AI-Generated Content

Papers containing text generated by large-scale language models (such as ChatGPT) are not permitted, unless the generated material is explicitly part of the experimental analysis.

Permitted Use

Authors may use AI tools for editing or improving text they have written themselves. Authors remain fully responsible for accuracy, originality, and attribution.

AI Is Not an Author

AI systems (including ChatGPT, Bard, or DALL-E) do not qualify for authorship and must not be listed as authors or cited as sources.

Author Responsibility

All authors assume full responsibility for the content of their papers, including ensuring the work is free from plagiarism and factual errors.

Integrity

Plagiarism & Enforcement

ICABER takes allegations of misconduct seriously and enforces strict penalties.

Investigation Process

Any allegations of plagiarism—whether arising from AI use or other sources— will be thoroughly investigated by ICABER.

Consequences

Confirmed plagiarism may result in paper rejection or retraction, notification of authors’ institutions or employers, and restricted participation in future ICABER events.
